Roz Savage is “paddling the Pacific, rowing towards a greener world, one stroke at a time” to become the first woman to row solo from California to the Kiribati Islands. Roz will use photos and videos to describe her voyage and adventures at sea.
Experience how Roz and ORI’s Rob Moir, PhD, enable people everywhere to meet challenges for healthy oceans and cleaner skies, challenges of climate change to bring about maximum effect in minimum time. Rob will tell how together we can defeat atmospheric assaults of lethal over-heating’s, fatal freezing’s to turn toxic tides where 50% of the oxygen we breathe comes from the ocean. That’s every other breath we take.
Live jazz by the Grace Hughes Quartet. This year’s fundraiser will benefit Roz Savage and the work ORI does with small groups and environmental partners. The benefit will be held in the ballroom by the Regatta Bar – a multi-media presentation by Roz Savage telling her stories from her Pacific Ocean with introduction by ORI Director Rob Moir. This will be followed by more informal time with Roz in the Regatta bar signing her new book.
