Take Action for the Northeast Great Waters Restoration Initiative: Gulf of Maine, New Hampshire, Cape Cod – Sign the Petition

Join with the Gulf of Maine Restoration Coalition in asking Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts Senators to implement the “Gulf of Maine Habitat Restoration and Conservation Plan,” to create a Gulf of Maine Restoration Program Office and appropriating funds accordingly.

Recently Congress authorized the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative to receive $475 million in implementation funding for restoration in 2010 and another $300 million for 2011.  Other coastal areas are far ahead with federally authorized programs.  It’s time to restore ocean waters, rivers and shores of the Gulf of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Cape Cod.
